Are you a couple who loves the land, values simple living, honest day of work, and wants to play a key role in a meaningful, nature-connected life?
We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive caretaker couple to join us on our beautiful farm in Flowerdale, Victoria—a place built on values of self-sufficiency, regeneration, and community.
Over the years, we’ve turned this property into a thriving, financially sustainable ecosystem, selling firewood, growing market garden produce, raising livestock, hosting guests, and running hands-on self-sufficiency workshops. Now, we’re looking for the right couple to help us care for the farm and continue growing its potential.
Solar powered, energy efficient with water rights, irrigation systems, plus modern comforts
Active income streams from firewood sales, Airbnb farm-stays, and sustainability workshops
Strong community support and a warm history of working bees and glowing guest reviews
A couple who:
Loves nature, mature minded with a down-to-earth mindset
Has practical experience in gardening, animal care, maintenance, cooking, some kind of trade or farm work
Sick of the current system and want to unplug from it to live a slower, more intentional/conscious life
Is reliable, respectful, solutions-focused, can-do attitude and open to learning new things
Outgoing and enjoys sharing their space with others (Airbnb hosting, community visitors)
As caretakers, you’ll be involved in:
Looking after livestock (goats, poultry, etc.)
Maintaining and improving gardens, fencing, and infrastructure
Keeping the farm tidy and presentable
Coordinating tradespeople and volunteers
Cutting and selling firewood
Hosting Airbnb guests (cleaning, check-ins, occasional meals)
Supporting or helping organise workshops
This is a full-time lifestyle role, not just a job—each day looks different depending on the season and farm activities.
